The Daikin inverter multi split range is a full inverter running on R32 refrigerant. The inverter compressor ramps its output up and down to match how many indoor units are running and how hard they are working, instead of switching hard on and off, which holds a steadier temperature, runs more quietly and cuts running costs compared with older fixed-speed units. R32 is also a lower global warming potential refrigerant than the older R410A it replaces.
Running a single outdoor unit for several rooms is also more space-efficient than a separate condenser for every room, which is why multi split suits apartments, townhouses and homes with limited outdoor space. Running fully electric lets you pair the system with rooftop solar to lower running costs further.
